Usik’s sparring partner confessed what hit him about the Ukrainian
Polish boxer Damian Kniba (7-0, 4 KOs) spoke about sparring with current WBA/WBO/IBF/IBO world heavyweight champion Alexander Usik (19-0, 13 KOs). We remind you that on August 20th in Jeddah (Saudi Arabia) the Ukrainian will have a rematch with the Briton Anthony Joshua.
First of all, I would like to thank Oleksandr and his team for the chance to train in his camp. The Ukrainian is an example of a real athlete, he is a master in his business. Usik is very attentive to details, and that makes him a world-class athlete. For me it was an invaluable experience for which I am grateful to him.
During my sparring with Alexander, I was most impressed by his boxing IQ and ethics in the ring. Because of his skills, I had to work on my feet every second of every round. “The rematch between Usik and Joshua will be a great one, but I think it will be very difficult for the British boxer to do something that can shock the Ukrainian in the ring,” Kniba said.
